Bedford has a rich history and plenty of artifact collections for you to learn about. That’s why the Bedford Historical Society is committed to documenting and maintaining as much of the local history as possible and why we here at North Coast Mitsubishi of Akron support their efforts.

The Bedford Historical Society provides valuable information about the history of Bedford and its surrounding regions. It also offers many fantastic community events for you to get out and enjoy with your friends, family, and neighbors. One of the Bedford Historical Society’s hallmark offerings is the annual Bedford Historical Society Flea Market & Outdoor Bazaar. Every year, this event helps raise money for the historical society while providing locals with the opportunity to buy and sell unique products.

Read on to learn what the Bedford Historical Society does, how you can attend and participate in the Flea Market & Outdoor Bazaar, and what other excellent events the Bedford Historical Society has on its calendar.

About the Bedford Historical Society

The Bedford Historical Society is a nonprofit organization that has served residents in Bedford and the neighboring communities since 1955. The society documents the history of Bedford and the Connecticut Western Reserve through a variety of methods, including obtaining and maintaining artifacts, publishing stories, and creating entertaining and educational exhibits. The society also maintains four properties on the National Register of Historic Places, develops a broad range of multimedia experiences, and provides community spaces for Bedford citizens to rent.

If you enjoy local history, you can become a Bedford Historical Society member or volunteer your time and effort in a variety of capacities.
